Dear friends,
Thank you for your patience with us as we adjust to the new realities of our time.
This morning, a small ‘skeleton crew’ met together to celebrate and record a Low Mass with some pieces of Chant and a sermon to send out to our parishioners and friends to help you lift up your hearts in this difficult time.
Below you will find links to both the Mass with sermon and a separate recording of the sermon only, both of which have been uploaded to our new parish YouTube channel. In my sermon I explain the practice of ‘spiritual communion’, by which we can continue to receive all the spiritual graces of Sacramental Communion when unable to receive Our Lord sacramentally. At the the bottom of this email you will find a simple form of this devotion, which Kieran also leads at the appropriate moment in the video.
These are early days in this new season. We will be working towards posting more regular content on our YouTube channel in the coming days. One way you can help us in this is to subscribe to the channel, either through your Gmail account (if you have one) or directly through YouTube. We hope to collect 1000 subscriptions in the coming week. If we are able to achieve this goal it will allow us many capabilities that we currently do not have, including live streaming capacity. Please also ask any friends you think might be well disposed to this endeavour to consider subscribing as well.
Please continue to check the homepage of the website for up-to-date information. I ask your prayers for me and for one another. Please be assured of my prayers for you all, and of my gratitude for you all.
The peace of the Lord be always with you.

Act of Reception
In Union, dear Lord, with the faithful at every altar of thy Church where thy blessed Body and Blood are being offered to the Father, I desire to offer thee praise and thanksgiving. I believe that thou art truly present in the Holy Sacrament. And since I cannot now receive thee sacramentally, I beseech thee to come spiritually into my heart. I unite myself unto thee, and embrace thee with all the affections of my soul. Let me never be separated from thee. Let me live and die in thy love. Amen.
Come Lord Jesus, dwell in thy servant in the fulness of thy strength, in the perfection of thy ways, and in the holiness of thy spirit, and rule over every hostile power in the might of thy Spirit, and to the glory of thy Father. Amen.
May the Body and Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ preserve my body and soul unto everlasting life. Amen.
