Lent is above all a time of preparation. We alter our practices and habits – prayer and study, coffee and movies, meat and sugar – not for our own wellbeing, but so that when Easter finally arrives we might more perfectly appreciate the incomprehensible reality of Jesus Christ’s death and resurrection.

This Lent our placement students, Abraham Thomas and Louis Harris, will lead a series on Lenten Preparation. We will study the readings and rituals that lead up to Easter in the liturgies of Holy Week, and we will end our meetings with the beautiful sung office of Compline.

We hope that as many as are able will join us for these five weeks of preparation, beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesdays, followed by Compline at 8:00 p.m., from March 9 to April 6, online or in-person.
